In a joint venture to raise money for TCT and HEART UK at Swanland Village Hall Flossie Malavialle, supported by Matthew Colquhoun and Jemima Short, provided an excellent evening's entertainment for local villagers and Flossie fans alike.

On Saturday 13 March 2010 the hall was packed out with over 100 people who were enthralled by the variety of musical entertainment on offer. To cap the night off the organisers were well pleased with the profit made and donated to the two charities. more....

The story so far (updated 7 April 2009)

It seems a long time since June 2002 when we had our first gig in the garden, hoping our friends would enjoy our acoustic music concert, and raising “a bit” of money for the Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT).

Although our plans to have a second concert the next year were curtailed because of a local objection, this proved to be the catalyst for our event to be moved to Brantingham Park, the home of our local Rugby Union club Hull Ionians – thus leading to Rugby Tackling Teenage Cancer.

We could never have anticipated how our “Madness” could have evolved, and how Rugby Tackling Teenage Cancer could be a significant fund-raiser for the Teenage Cancer Trust. More...

Derby Match Hull FC V Hull Kingston Rovers 20th July 2008

One of the memorable events of Hull FC’s support of Rugby Tackling Teenage Cancer in 2008 was the local derby match, held at the KC Stadium on Sunday 20th July.

The Stadium Management allowed us to have a bucket collection which raised in excess of £2,000.00.  We understand that this was a record for of such an event at the KC.

The “bucketeers” i.e. those wielding the collecting buckets, crossed the East/West divide.  The Rovers supporters amongst them are very keen to promote Rugby Tackling Teenage Cancer at Craven Park in the future.

Healthy rivalry between the clubs can only be an advantage to our charity. Rugby Tackling Teenage Cancer started in Hull and it would be brilliant to have both of our Superleague teams on board. More....
